Routine Inspection Services
Life Extension of Electrical Equipment Through Routine Inspection of Paint
In a perfect world, you pay top dollar for the best equipment possible...and it lasts forever. Anyone who has been in the business long enough, knows that this is simply not true. Did you know there are ways to extend the life of your equipment by simple examination of the paint?
Inspection of Transformers, Reclosers, and other equipment not yet in service
Routinely walk your holding yard and look for any signs of rust or corrosion BEFORE putting parts into service. Having the unit repainted as soon as rust appears will extend the life of the unit long before it needs any major work. This also aids in savings as the cost is far lower than repair or replacement of in-service units.
Substation Inspection and Maintenance
Just as Transformers and other equipment need to be inspected and maintained, so does your substations. As soon as the signs of rust and corrosion appear, repainting the equipment is a necessity. Failing to regularly inspect for rust will result in moisture penetrating the interior of the equipment, contaminating the oil, and could eventually cause the oil to leak out. Substation transformers drain far quicker than a standard transformer. All of which lead to power outages.
TransArmour suggests updating your maintenance standards to comply with current Standards. Regular inspection of ALL equipment is recommended and failures are too costly to allow financial constraints to prevent appropriate maintenance and inspection schedules. TransArmour's advanced coating comes in a variety of strengths. Our most practical applications have been used on:
- Transformers, Regulators, Power Transformers, Switch Gears, etc.
- Metal Distribution Poles
- Substations - we have a mobile application team ready to serve!
- Subdivisions and Gated Communities
